 Specialty Ornamentals is a small woody plant nursery with big ideas. We work hard to propagate and grow good garden plants that are often, although not always, out of the ordinary. This is our specialty. It is also our specialty that we grow and know our plants very well. Each selection must have succeeded in our trial beds under Spartan conditions. These trial areas are a part of our demonstration and display areas.

SPRING RETAIL HOURS BEGIN MARCH 12-13

We began a little bit of retail last spring and had such fun that we will re-open next month for seasonal retail hours. Join us to learn about our plants, and some of the other things we do. We will be sharing demonstrations of bamboo working, compost tea-making, Japanese maple identification and propagation and other things across the summer.
