WELCOME TO OUR FEATURE PLANTS PAGE!
We decided to use the
website to feature a few plants we feel deserve more attention. For
example, we grow many Native
Plants because there are many wonderfully ornamental natives, and
because sometimes they are the right plant for a particular cultural
situation.
We grow an ever expanding list of Conifers because of the ranges of color,
texture and serviceability this group of plants can bring to a
garden.
We believe that gardening in the south is
much more pleasant in any season other than summer, so we grow many trees
and shrubs with Winter Interest. This
category includes fall and early spring, depending on the year. It also
includes ornamental characteristics that are sometimes secondary to flower
and fragrance such as ornamental bark and habit.
It has become obvious to us that with
more and more economic development of natural areas there will be a need
for more protection of watersheds and wetlands. We will identify and offer Wet-Tolerant plants for use in
planting in these areas.
